I used 620, 14-54 and fl50. I told them; "I'll take your photos and I'll do it for free but I'll tell you up front that there's no gaurantee."

I was very happy with the way the camera performed no issues at all. Everyone involved was very relaxed and happy so that made things a lot easier.

Very nice photos, your friends got a heck of a deal with you.

Thanks Darrel. You know what they say 'more happiness in giving'. Also I experienced very little stress doing it for free. I did quite a few weddings for friends back in the 80's. and never could bring myself to charge more than cost.

Those are a lot of fun and look very nice. The flash worked well. I would have been freaked out.

My head was confused when I saw the sign in the background.

"These don't look anything like Amish folk.... What's going on?"

Then I realized that you live in Squ-amish! LOL!

It looks like your friends got a very good deal.

My 14-54 gets a lot of work at weddings and in general. A very versatile and well-performing lens. Super dependable too. I can't recall ever seeing a "my 14-54 fell apart" thread.

You took great photos of the event. Wow, you caught a lot of fine moments and captured some great expressions. You did a fine job for them. Who needs more than your one lens outfit? :) The 14-54 is such a sharp, versatile lens.

Thanks for the kind remarks and a good laugh. This wedding forced me into improving my use of the fl50 and light sphere, which I feel will help me in the future with my photography in general. I enjoy the 14-54 it's a fine lens.

Mostly well done though I must say some of the skin hues are a bit orangish.

Thanks for posting : good pictures and nice-looking people too! Happy!

In the EXIF data it shows F8 and F7 on a lot of the pictures : with this lens (I have 14-54MkI) I use it mostly wide open : that's the only reason I bought one.
Can you explain your aperture choices?

F8 was an accident. F7 because the flash was handling it no problem and it gave me more depth of field in case of focus errors on my part. I also thought I'd read that f7 was closer to the sweet spot on the lens although I might be wrong on that. The pictures I took at wider aperatures looked fine so maybe next time I'll use them more. I'm sure you have more experience than me with it.--

No, not at all.

You've shot a wedding with it, I've hardly used mine compared to you. My aim for buying this lens was to get a wider aperture and more subject isolation in a normal-zoom range for a reasonable price : hence me using the thing wide-open almost all the time. If I'm going to stop it down I'll get almost the same image quality from the standard 14-42 kit zoom or the short end of the 40-150 zooms.
Great lenses all of 'em!
