I was looking to see how far away I could be from the laptop or wireless router and still transfer files?

I shoot in hockey arenas, basketball courts, and soccer fields and would like to transmit the file back to the laptop for viewing and onsite sales.

Thanks,
Chuck

I was shooting at a rodeo last year and one of the other photographers, with a set up like yours, was saying they couldn't use their wireless transfer feature because the signal from the camera was being reflected off of the metal buildings and horse trailers in the area.

I would guess the performance is situation dependent.

Its going to be a variable distance dependency based upon local conditions. If you are in an arena and the laptop is nearby, it shouldn't be a problem as long as there is no local interference.
