Just turned 14 but is very talented. A few hints were enough and she posed great. She had never been before in front of a camera.

D300 + Tamron 90 Macro.

I like the last one. It has a freshness about it and better balanced lighting. The first two look a little harsh and forced, with the contrast too high and the hot spot on her forehead. The third is way too harsh. I have memories of Morticia Addams from the Addams Family. Hard to believe that she is only 14.

Thanks for comments.
I wanted to make the images a bit glamorous. I think I went over the top.

About "Adams" : Funny, I had the same thought while doing the pp. Just I had "Lilly Monster" in my mind.

With the right posing and some makeup girls always look older than they are.

best wishes

Is this noise reduction or have you run this through some softerner e.g. Painter etc.

Way too heavy! Last one cute! Seems to me 14 is the new 21 as 70 is the new 50 ...

Cheers

Too much pp. I confess. I went crazy and overdid.

A little color in the face, some nice poses and 14 becomes 18. That's how it works.

Besides ... there is nothing in the world that makes a 14 year old girl more happy than looking like 18.

Because if she was my child and I found out that some grown(?) man(?) was posting images of her, described as a "young cutie", you would be in a great deal of serious trouble.

You're right of the edge of this rule - there's something very unwholesome about your threads involving this kid.
Images of children - We absolutely do not allow any nude / semi-nude / voyeuristic pictures of children or links to such galleries. Anyone posting such images or links to galleries with such images will be immediately banned and may be reported to the authorities.

I fail to see how the photos come anywhere close to violating that rule. It looks like a perfectly acceptable modeling session, whether the model is 14 or 34. I see nothing prurient, erotic, salacious or voyeuristic about the poses or context of the photos. I would never have guessed the model's age at 14; but, I don't think that the fact that the photos make her appear older renders them inappropriate.

The OP makes quite a big deal of the fact that the make-up and photos make her look more like an 18 year old - why mention that at all?

And again: "young cutie"?

Makes my bloody skin crawl.

There must be something odd with your fantasy. During the session 3 other adults (parents of the girls) were present and observed exactly what I did. All the dresses were chosen by the girls themselves.

After the session I received 3 emails from parents telling me that they really love the images and that their daughters were totally happy.

Finally : If you connect some inappropriate thoughts with the term "young cutie" you have a real problem. And "YES" I asked the girls for permission to post the images on the net.

But if it makes you feel better, report me.

OP did a good job (at least with the last 2 pics, too much softening and too much highlighting in the first 2).

She is a young cutie, why should stating that fact bother the OP, the model, the model's parents or the rest of the world. And she does look a little more mature in the first 3 pics. And I'm sure the model is satisfied with the pics.

Perhaps, sir, you have some issues with your own feelings towards the images and you're projecting them on the OP.

My daughter was 14 years old once and I've a slew of nieces and niecettes (progeny of niece and nephews) who thrive on compliments about their appearances. No, they seem to need them to feed their delicate self-esteem. It is our responsibility, grown and mature male figures who interact with them, to reassure them about their appearances. I support the OP in that he is perfectly innocent of any deviousness. In fact, when the model is 45 years old, she'll have some good artifacts from when she is a "young cutie". It's an important set of images to have for a young lady.

..but there is too much 'burned out' in the first three. Harsh, overdone and too much effort to make them look artistic.
The last one however shows that natural beauty of the subject. Stick to that.

Nice set. Not crazy about the softening of the skin though but it works in the 2nd glamour shot. The last candid photo is my favorite of the set :)

As for the content and title of the OP, I don't have a problem with it. She is cute and if her parents had no problem with the photos or with posting them here, than it isn't anybody else's problem.

Gl2k, I wish you success and keep posting. I do enjoy looking at your threads.

I can only imagine what would be said were I to post images from a photo shoot I did this past summer. The model was a beautiful 16 year old, and it was a swimsuit shoot. Of course, what no one would know just looking at the photos is that the model's mother, a friend who knew of my interest in photography, contacted me and requested that I do the shoot. (She offered to pay me, but I did it just to gain experience.) The model and her mother selected all the poses. The shoot took place in the model's backyard around her pool, with her mother, grandmother, grandfather and family dog present.

Anyone thinking the OP's photos are inappropriate would absolutely stroke out looking at my shots. On the other hand, my model and her family absolutely love them. As you say, Dez, that's what matters.

A beauty! This one is going places. Pull back on the skin smoothing. She doesn't need it.

Beautiful model by all means but I see like others say and that is too much softness and skin smoothing. Not my cup of tea.

The contrast is consistent through out the shoot and gives it an edge that I think the young folks would love. Very nice and great eye for beauty.
