I enjoy shooting the hills. They do make for an enticing subject, though I have to admit I actually prefer shooting more urban scenery with people and architecture. Love living here though.

I live in The Hague, Netherlands, but was born in Aruba.
The Hague is the third largest city in the Netherlands, after Amsterdam and Rotterdam, with a population of 485,818 (2009) and an area of approximately 100 km².
The Hague is the largest Dutch city on the North Sea and includes two distinct beach resorts. The main beach resort Scheveningen, in the northwestern part of the city, is a popular destination for tourists as well as for inhabitants.

the blurred bottom is totally distracting to my eyes as it covers far too much of the frame. Cropped, this image would be even better.did you have a lookout to cover your back?

You are correct on the Chicago scene - almost every day there is something to shoot from that vantage point. The snow scene is so typical of Chester County it could be anywhere.
