Where are you from?

I enjoy shooting the hills. They do make for an enticing subject, though I have to admit I actually prefer shooting more urban scenery with people and architecture. Love living here though.
The Palouse! I love that area. Lived for years in Seattle and used to head over to Eastern WA a lot. Did a photo project in college (early '80s) and shot a lot of black and white of those hills. Have a couple of them on my walls still.

I live in The Hague, Netherlands, but was born in Aruba.

The Hague is the third largest city in the Netherlands, after Amsterdam and Rotterdam, with a population of 485,818 (2009) and an area of approximately 100 km².

The Hague is the largest Dutch city on the North Sea and includes two distinct beach resorts. The main beach resort Scheveningen, in the northwestern part of the city, is a popular destination for tourists as well as for inhabitants.

You are correct on the Chicago scene - almost every day there is something to shoot from that vantage point. The snow scene is so typical of Chester County it could be anywhere.
