New x100 brochure...

...

You are not paying attention nor thinking. Reducing amount of light passing through to sensors will in one way or the other mess with number of things all in the end affecting image quality. Having higher shutter speed lets you avoid that mess.
I do not understand what you are trying to say. A higher shutter speed also reduces the amount of light that reaches the sensor, just like an ND filter.

That's great. I hope Lightroom 3 is out quickly with the raw converters for the X100. I've just pre-ordered mine from Adorama.

There is a rumour that the Nikon mirrorless will be announced at the end of March. But I suspect it will have a smaller sensor that the x100 and be more consumer focused.

You mean like you do with every post of yours?
Talk to me about your experience using (auto)focus with 6 stop ND filter like you advise, I really would love to hear that fairy tale :)
Unlike you, I do not need autofocus. It's nice when it works but ultimately I control the camera. The Rebel XT has miserable autofocus anyways. If the camera cannot focus, then I switch to manual focus, and then, get the shot .

You on the other hand, just break down into tears, whine, and then move to something easier to shoot.

I provided about 2 dozen images to this magazine, leaving the final choice to them. I'll trust their judgement over your infantile one.
Of course you are going to choose to believe that photo they have chosen is something to be proud of. Fact remains no matter what you have chosen to believe that pencil across face is just awful.

And yet, it is far, far more than you have ever accomplished. Or did you forget to post your magazine cover?

High shutter speed reduces amount of light sensor is exposed to during taking of a picture. Strong ND filter reduces amount of light picked up by focus sensors and amount of light in viewfinder. At certain point both manual focusing and auto focusing become impossible. One can find lengthy technical explanations why exactly but here is quick experiment anyone can conduct: Take lens that has manual aperture control. Start closing aperture while observing at which point focus confirmation indicator starts giving up and at which point focusing through viewfinder becomes impossible too. That should clearly show what I am talking about and why I find rattymouse's advice is incorrect and shows no experience/competence.

You are free to keep kidding yourself but one's hallucinations should be kept to himself, they do not constitute reality for others regardless of how real they seem to you.

Sounds so wonderful and smart! In theory. But it also shows you have zero in field experience with it otherwise you wouldn't have said such nonsense. 6 stop ND filter is equivalent to focusing that F2 lens at F16 with aperture closed, one won't see jack in that finder.

Such a clown. F/16 in blazing sun by your own admission. I find it interesting that NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON supports you during this endless rant across multiple threads.

You are a waste Zoran. You've accomplished nothing and are bitter at the world for your own failure. You arent even a half way decent troll, despite endless practice from your end. So pathetic.

And you are free to produce proof to the contrary. Yet you never do. The silence is deafening .

If those words were coming from somebody that in my opinion deserves to be called a man even a little bit I would give them some weight. Considering they are coming from one of the most pitiful excuses for waste of an oxygen I have ever seen they are nothing but good example of what phrase "garbage in garbage out" means.

It is obvious you are one of those that carry disease called misery in them and try to spread it to everybody they come in contact with so they are not only ones suffering. Get professional help, you seem to be needing it badly and get it before your children realize what kind of a "being" their father is, you don't want to break their hearts or make them like you.

I'm not sure how new this is, but, I thought I'd post it here. Here is the link for those interested.

That's as good as any camera brochure from the past, including those from the old Contax SLRs.

The aerial photograph of Queenstown, New Zealand, is breathtaking.

Yes a lovely shot taken from the top of the Cable Car but ...
Shame the shots weren't necessarily taken with the X100.
Read the small print!

Yes, I noticed the small print too but I think I've decided they are shots from the x100. If you go to the fuji website under gallery there is one called world of x100 (not the samples gallery). The same unprocessed photos from the brochure are there. I don't believe that they would post shots from a different camera on their website for the x100. Moreover, at the x100 website there is no disclaimer.

compare:
http://www.finepix-x100.com/en/gallery/world

The first shot in the gallery is the shot from the cable car without processing.

As does a smaller aperture.
