Hi:

First Time Using a Script for PhotoShop

A framing script was posted on the Retouch Forum by Joe Colson, these guys and gals are awesome on the knowledge they have and pass on to us mere mortals.

I love frames so I thought I would see if I could get it to work. Piece of cake. :D

Always so many variations, size, colour, etc.

could you please share the website where you found the frame script. I too like to add nice frames to some of my photos. I did a Goggle; however, did not find anything. Thanks in advance,

Glad you asked. This is from the retouch forum. It is by Joe Colson.

Once you have run the script, it is like anything else in Photoshop where you can go to the layers and change whatever you want.

Please post some photos with the script when you get time.

There are hundreds of frame actions found on the net. There are even bundles of frames to be found and imported into Photoshop. Once imported into your actions file, you can load as many as you want, and then pick one and run it . Once you have a Photo selected. I have hundreds of frame actions. All were free.

Bill,

I like frame actions, too. But actions usually only do one thing well. Scripts allow the user to select styles, colors, sizes, etc. independently and produce different results without having to have an action for each desired result. That's why most of us started with literally hundreds of actions to do the job that one script can do. And my script is free, too. Hope you try it. Any feedback would be appreciated.

How do you add torn edges, or a scroll frame or a plank of wood and add an engraved gold plate with rivets holding it in place?
