Location
Buffalo, NY, US
On such a global forum, I think it would be interesting to share where we live, and get some perspective.I know many users profiles lists their location, but many do not, and where's the fun in just sifting through profiles?

I am from Buffalo, New York, United States.

It is nestled between lake erie (across from Cleveland) and lake ontario (across from Toronto), Niagara falls is about 10 minutes away, and directly across the niargara river I can see ontario, canda. The population of the metro area is around 1 million.

What about you?

--Im from Beverley in the UK. A small market town with lots of pasture land surround it. Cheers Paul UK

West Chester, PA. A little colonial town that's been here since the 1600s, on the edge of Philadelphia exurbia, but still plenty of rural right around us and Amish Country within a good bike ride. Grew up in Tucson, Arizona and had a short stint in Telluride, Colorado, and a long stint in the Puget Sound area before landing here. I've loved 'em all, but we're pretty dug in here now. And I love it too!

My wife's family is from Rochester, so I know your part of the world reasonably well. I like it most times of the year, but hate the winters. And we're usually up there in the winter, around the holidays, so my perception is somewhat negatively tainted! ;)

The Albany, New York area. For those unfamiliar with NY, Albany is the capitol of NY state, and is about 150 miles due north of New York City.

I grew up in NYC and suburbs, lived in Western Massachusetts for years, went to Michigan for a while, then back to the northeast, and settled here in Upstate NY about 15 years ago. Winters are really, really, unpleasant here, but the rest of the year the climate is wonderful, and the people are very nice, so here I be, and here I expect to stay....

. . . The best part of winter here in upstate NY is spending a few weeks in the Bahamas like my wife and I are doing later this month.

The CNMI on the island of Saipan. A commonwealth of the USA. The island chain borders the Pacific ocean on one side and the Philippine sea on the other. Main economic drivers are tourism and Federal handouts.

Leavenworth, Kansas in a small area with about 2,000 others. Actually, I am using the computer in the library here. Not originally from here but will be staying until 2018 as things stand right now.
