Weekend Monochrome - Post Yours!

I see your point.

If you zoom in on the line, you'll see it's dark red, rather than black, but I see where it may distract the eye... I may play w it a bit more, but it seems it's not a valid entry in the comp, so I'll wind up tossing it when I find something that fits the requirements

Beginning injector repairs on Number 40 in the Nevada Northern's Ely Nevada shops. Could have been 100 years ago, except for a few subtle give-aways.

Well, Lou, I guess you'll just have to take my word for it.
I undestand your point of view and I will take your words for it, at the same time your explanation supports my remark, but I understand.
Here's something that I found fascinating: Stieglitz used the word "portrait" for a series of images (not just for a headshot) that told the story of a person's life. His "portrait" of Georgia O'Keefe is quite a collection!
Your a copycat :) LoL. Well I've read something about Her Stieglitz and he is almost a painter in photography, but also due to it's lenses and limitations of it's time, which turned out to be an advantage. Isn't it wonderfull that he don't have the problems of white rims, halo's, sharpning problems etc.etc. This kind of photography find it's nearest neighbour in the old Fuji S3 with some lenses which can be seen in the sunrise shot from Henry Smith on his page taken with an S3 with an Tamron 17-50 f2.8 http://henrysmithscottage.wordpress.com/
Not that I'm his equal,
Would you? Having your own face/personality looks more important to me .
but this is part of my portrait of my neighbor - a cabinetmaker and a good friend.
