I just purchased a Ricoh GXR with 28mm and 50mm lens units. I had been shooting with a Leica X1, but was having issues with frequent over-exposures. I sent back my X1 to the dealer (I purchased a month ago) and I will be getting a new replacement. In the meantime, I am heading to India next week and wanted to take a APS-C sensor camera with me and had long wanted to try the Ricoh GXR.

My first impressions are very positive. The camera is rock solid, performs swiftly and all the controls are well placed. I also like the way you can customize many of the buttons. Anyway, I took the new camera out for a "test spin" this morning. The shots are at the link below. Thanks for looking.

You took some great shots here, particularly the B & W ones. Did you set it to take JPEG Black and Whites or did you convert them yourself? I recently bought the GXR 50mm and I think I'm going to like it. I also have an X1:)

They are so peaceful, I cant tell which I liked, but when I went throuh them all I felt better. It reminds me I spent too much time in the city. Enjoy your new camera

You've got some really nice shots there, David.
Thanks for sharing.

I shot all pictures in RAW and then post-processed in Lightroom 3. I think I will enjoying using both the GXR and X1. I have only a one hour session under my belt with the GXR, but I am very impressed so far.

Thanks for looking.
