If you are G2 user, can you please do a little test take a picture of your remote control while you press buttons on it.

please take those photos in auto settings.
Sorry, I just finished taking some pictures in various other settings using a G2. I post cropped versions of two of them. The upper one was shot in P mode, daylight WB (by accident), F2.0, 1/6s. The lower one was shot in Av, fluorescent WB, F4.0, 0.8s.

Hope you find this interesting anyway - sorry for not cleaning my fingernails well enhough in advance.

Marc

Thanks Marc and SOL.

But the remote's emitter was pointed directly to the lens in SOL's test. Marc's test had the emitter pointed slightly away from the lens. This can be critical.

Another observation, it appears the battery in Marc's remote is not as strong as that in SOL's remote.

That definitely IS one powerful remote SOL has. Heheheh...

I still say this should be done while spot metered off of the emitter. What good is a test that overexposes the emitter since the majority of the center of frame is filled by a black remote? :-)))

On second thought, are we really going to start shooting infrared remotes in an effort now to prove a CA problem?
Thanks Marc and SOL.
