Anyone reach out for these in the field?

Absolutely, positively NOT :D

Nice shot, very creative lighting. As an ex smoker, I'm very sensitive to second hand smoke. When I smoked, my wife said kissing me was like licking an ashtray! :)

I run 5km every morning, so I called the edited photo that way. But the original photo is very creative and with good play of light & angle. But be careful with the PF.

Gave it up 27 years ago. ;-)

But- what a fine shot!

I love macro, and it never ceases to amaze me when someone takes a mundane object and creates something of beauty from it.

The lighting and composition are quite nice, good job. :-)

And no, it doesn't make me want to take up the habit again... LOL

Maybe s/he works for them ;)

Please don't glamourise smoking. I reached out for them for 28 years. Kicked it at last 3 years ago. And no I didn't have the urge when I saw these.

It's a nice pic, with very good lighting and well composed.

In answer to your question - no. Although I'm a smoker, I hardly ever smoke whilst out taking photos. Being out in the fresh air is great. Smoking, for me, is reserved for more sedentary locations.

I have to laugh at some of the judgemental comments by one or two of the above posters.
Chill out - have a fag. :)

Oh, sweet!

I have bunches of these around, and it never occurred to me to do a macro!

Great shot! It's really colorful and interesting.

PS, don't listen to the critics telling you not to glamorize smoking. You aren't. You're just putting a new spin on some mundane objects and making them beautiful.

Man, I get with the program here because you're making me jealous... :-)

Not as good as as Photoshop, but the price is not bad :=).

I've read that Lightroom and Elements have PF tools though I've not used them, both less expensive than Photoshop.
And there may be others I don't know about.

On some images PF is visible only if you zoom in and look for it, but the white tops of your cigs and the background do make the PF very visible here with little enlargement, and removing PF does help the look of that great light play going on in the filter tops

Nice image.

I owned an industrial janitorial service. I found that offices that allowed smoking needed their interior windows cleaned more often. Computer monitors needed constant cleaning. Electronics attracted the tars like a magnet.

Think of what the tars are doing to the electronics and optics of your cameras.
