On January 2011 I recorded live the nice performance of a friend of mine practicing trapeze in a circus show.

The stage was close but being very large I had to zoom all the way on kit lens (18-55) to have him framed nicely.
So I held the camera up the crowd and recorded with the screen flipped down.

Stellar ISO performance and good image stabilization did the job giving me a quite satisfactory recording.

Performer: Anibal Virgilio - you can find his channel on the tube as "anibal2782"

Well as a performer who also knows his way around a trapeze rig I have to say it was a great act. He kept his character all the way through, even as he went off stage. And his trapeze performance was quite unusual - I rarely saw peices in that style and several of the transitions I never saw before - so good work!

And nice smooth video too. I've been using my NEX to capture fire performance, my main area of performance.

he's been practicing for two years on a local school here in italy.

I was afraid of the low light and high contrast, there's a bit of overexposed tones of the skin, and around the middle of the video I turned compensation down :)
