Hi,
I own an S30. Recently I have become interested in 3 things:
1. Stitching photos together to create large panoramas (gaining inspiration from Max Lyons in particular.)
2. Using the AEB bracketing feature to increase dynamic range, by exposure blending in Photoshop.
3. Possible blending of 3 identical photos also (taken at same exposure) in order to decrease noise.
I am wondering (doubting) if it is possible to set my S30 to take 3 photos at 0EV, then another 3 photos at -1EV and +1EV (i.e. 9 identically composed photos), before recomposing the view for the second image (another 9 photos) in the stitch, which would have to be exposure locked to the first. What do you think would be the easiest way of achieving this? Would manual mode be the only way of allowing me to keep the exposure the exact same between each "mini-set" of photos? In order to take three identical photos (for noise reduction), would it help to set the shooting mode to rapid shoot(?) so that I dont have to touch the camera and knock it off slightly? Would AEB work simultaneously to this? The AEB function would be more important to me in panoramas than the noise reduction method- any tips to getting AEB'd stitch sets would be greatly appreciated!
