Pentax issues public apology re stains. +1 for Pentax.

The worst? You need to read some of the posts in the Nikon and Canon forums...

No. I find it a lot like a schoolyard p!ssing match. 'nuff said...
So you decided to stand up and get in between? You should beware of some droplets splashing around :)

Anyway, I take it as you never had stains, AF or SDM problems. Lucky you.

You forgot about the k10d early flash failure.:(

Mine fried 2 days after Christmas in 2006 (my first DSLR) and the replacement had the crooked VF, then it went wonky on a real hot day. They did fix it though.
Mine had the crooked VF, but they fixed it and it's been fine in every other way... and it's had a lot of rough handling. (Padded camera cases are for poosies!)

I plan to probably get a K-5 once the ratio of its price to my income tilts more favorably. I'm hoping one of those will last me a decade without needing another upgrade. (Though if I was wealthy I'd probably go Nikon, and get like a 200-400 f4 and a Bushhawk.)

Though my K10d went to the shop 4 times I would rather have kept it and sold my k20d, but I cracked the body of my k20 when a wasp that got in my shirt started stinging my armpit (ouch!) :D I loved the low iso IQ of the k10d. I would love to try a K-5 but now I wait until camera's are old and cheaper too, and got a used 1D mark3 for about the same dough and I am really happy with it. Canon had some QC issues with that one too. : )
