Todd,

1)Are you using a Canon G2 or G3?

2) Why did you choose "pbase" for your Internet postings vs "imagestation" or some other service. Can you restrict those who can view your images?

3) I'm in the process of choosing a free Internet picture posting service. Tell me which you recommend and why.

It just goes to show what an excellent photographer can do even with modest technology. Very good indeed.

Thanks for the comments everybody!

This gallery marks my favorite images from my 1st full year with the Cannon G2. Prior to owning the G2 last fall, I had not ever really tried my hand at photography - other than a few snapshots with disposable cameras.

Needless to say, I'm hooked now. :)
 
1) G2 - I've owned it for a little over a year now. All of the photos in this gallery were collected over that time span.

2) While I was looking for a camera to buy, I browsed through these forums quite a bit looking at galleries for each camera. Most people just tended to use pbase most often, so when I bought my camera, pbase was just the first place I thought of to use.

3) I can't really give you a good comparison since pbase is all I've used - but I can say that pbase is a GREAT site. Anything you would need to do to format your gallery, you should be able to do it with pbase.

I just got my G2 two wks ago. I want to learn how to do what you did!

Anyway to that you have the untouched original? just wanna analyze how you did it so that i could improve my techniques.

And to think that I've been toting around expensive cameras and shooting pictures since 1963 and I can't boast such quality.

Maybe i should just hang it up ...... NOT!

I'll just have to try harder.

Nothing new in my response...I'm with the others...they're great!

Aside from your subject choice, composition, and other artistic aspects that are unique to you, I'm interested in the part of your technique that yields such rich colors. Do you shoot in JPG Vivid mode? Or something in Photoshop? (And only if you're in the mood for sharing). :)
