BINGO!!! I completed my own TTL flash(lots of pics)

I connected my CP 4500 to my Minolta 360 PX flash (which supports TTL when combined with Minolta X-700) by Nikon SC-18 cord and Nikon AS-10 TTL shoe. Using a multimeter I am pretty sure all connections are right.
However TTL does not work, the flash fires at max power everytime.
Do you know an explanation?
Is it the age of the flash (about 1982), did the TTL system change?
Please help
Nikon Coolpix 995, 4500 have no hot shoe. So, it is very expensive
to buy Nikon TTL Shoe and TTL Cord and Bracket.
I put earphone stereo cord inside the Vivitar 736, to output 3
lines(trigger, ground, TTL).

I output earphone female from the flash, so I can use TTL through
the earphone cord. They are consist of 3 part.

1. Vivitar with TTL output with earphone cord(stereo which has 3 line)
2. NikonTTL Cord (half of SC-18)
3. Adaptor Cord to maximize the flash's output to get my own exposure

TTL mode : Just simply connet. That's it.
TTL working like a magic. Just press shutter, period!!

Through connect Adaptor Cord, the flash maximizes its output.
I use this Adaptor Cord, whenever I do not satisfy with TTL's
exposure.

Nothing Connected

TTL Cord Connected

Adaptor Cord Connected to use manual exposure

I disassemble flash, then solder 3 lines(Trigger, Ground, TTL)

TTL Cord : 3 lines(Trigger, Ground, TTL)

Adaptor Cord : 2 lines(Only Trigger and Ground, cut off TTL line)

Hi to all,
The presentation/discussion around flash
alternatives for the coolpix 995 was very
interesting, and now I got enough information
to start my own work on that (THNX, Chung!).
This is quite helpful since the recommended Nikon
flashes have a lot more features than exploitable
with this camera. However, I am targeting also for
a couple of flashing triggered and also switched
off by the coolpix. (Yes, I know that 'TTL' is not
the right word here, but the better word for it
-be it pseudo-TTL or whatever- is not really what
I wanted to find out here).

My Question:
a) Is there a list (or could we create one)
of already tested TTL flashes of other brands
which work well together with the coolpix 995
or other coolpixes?
b) Has anybody already tried to connect a couple of
flashes of other brands ('system flash')
to be steered by one coolpix?
Any recommendations by you, Chung?

Regards to all from Germany
Michael

If you are electronic mania, it is a piece of pizza.

My TTL flash is better than Nikon Hot Shoe and SC-18.

1. Price is cheaper.
half of TTL Cord(SC-18)
No AS-10(TTL Shoe) needed

2. A lot more convenient.
If you use AS-10 and SC-18, you should be attached on the bracket.
SC-18 is 1.5m which is too long.
But, if you use my TTL flash method, you can put the
flash right on top of the bracket(No Hot Shoe needed).
Just connect earphone jack makes ready.

Don't you think it is good enough? Mike?
