I took these with the a550 & Sony 16-105, please excuse the ghosting as I used the auto HDR and ISO-1600 to help with lighting and detail.

I was in awe when I saw the amount of detail and time that was put into this paint job.

I hope I did a decent job on the shots.

Set #1

Thnaks for sharing!

Not to my tastes but that paint job is well done. Thanks for sharing!

Were you at the show in San Diego? I was there when it opened Sunday--with my a55. Your shots of "American Pride" are good---better than mine. I didn't use HDR---just shot Aperture priority at ISO1600.

Yup, it was San Diego. I wanted to use my a55 but 2nd battery was still charging =(, so I brought my a550. I was set up same as you were Aperture Priority ISO-1600, but used HDR as well. I did no PP except for cropping. The next car show I think is the Good Guys at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

That car is much too valuable to drive anywhere, even in a parade. Nice photos.

I hope more people at least look to at least appreciate the work that went into this paint job, I believe the man said it took 320hrs to paint the Camaro.

As an artist myself, 320hrs is blazing fast for that kind of work and detail... I would have guessed over 1000hrs. Absolutely stunning work, the execution and fades from one scene to the next are perfect. Not only is the content and execution flawless, the car as a whole flows really well, really a piece of rolling art.

Both sets are pretty awesome! A real airbrush artist at work.
Nice captures, too.

Take the scenic route! Life is too short to do otherwise.

I have done a few car shows here in San Diego. Don't know if I will get to the Good Guys show or not. If you shoot many shows around here we may run into each other. I'm the old guy with a white beard :)
If you are interested most of my images can be seen at http://www.sandiegoimages.net

Keep shooting

To view the images just go to http://www.sandiegoimages.net My car shots are in a gallery named San Diego Cars ---there are a couple hundred images there.

Since I already upload to that site and to Flickr I haven't set up a gallery on dpreview.

I'm not sure why it isn't linking---probably operator failure on my part. I am a better photographer (I hope) than computer guy :) At least I have been doing it longer.

There's something wrong today with all the links in all the posts. No pictures can be seen.

Simple solution--- all you have to do is post the complete url including the http: then it works fine :)
