Will the FZ100 EVER get a IQ quality/ ISO noise upgrade??

And just a thought, doesn't the same rule apply to the FZ38 image in exactly the same way, as the FZ100 ones?
That blows your argument out of the water my friend!
They are a fair comparison of the two cameras and clearly show the differences

I don´t agree with the idea that FZ100 produces smearing all over the way.

In most use conditions there is no noise to remove, so there is no smearing also.

Things only become critical at ISO800 and ISO 1600 with low light, and even for ISO800 I can see little diference in detail between -2 and 0, with some effective noise reduction.

This question seems to me is being greatly exaggerated. What is a reality is that the camera produces quite a lot of noise in low light, which is a limitation. On the other hand, you can take some photos that are impossible with other cameras (5 fps burst with AF is incredible), so its up to each one to decide depending on its priorities.

I posted these images on another thread to show just how the quality varies between the two camera models, shooting at 400 ASA best quality setting jpeg, no sharpening or PP, aperture f5.6

Judge for yourself whether the difference is important
I believe that those and other microscopic-sized images [14-> 1.9MP] have been already discussed. If you downsize enough, even a cellphone image will look good.
Talk about not wanting to see the truth, these were saved to my Gallery full sized

The display size of the Forum and Gallery are limited, but it hasn't stopped the nay sayers using them in evidence in the past, has it?
did you actually look at the images before posting? they were not downsized.
I still see downsized to 1.9MP pics in your gallery. Are you calling them the originals?

They are here on the Album full size as I uploaded them

Have a look at the gallery, the camera photos were uploaded full size as you will see

100

It seems that if you link to photos in the gallery it displays a smaller size, but the difference between the cameras doesn't change.

So the pictures everyone posts in forums must be must be affected in the same way as no option on size is offered for alternative sizes when you post.

Have a look at the originals, by all means, it won't make any difference to the comparisons.

Did you think I was trying to cheat you on some way? :-)

Why would i bother?

How frustrating even posting an Album link doesn't give you access to the full sized images, and you don't seem to be able to link directly to them.

I suggest you try uploading some full sized images yourself and linking them into a forum post, if you are successful, please advise how you did it, and I'll repost them again!

Why are you wasting your time trying to justify yourself to someone who has no intention of believing anything you say.

Yes Steve very cool shot...great AF through the limbs to get that shot...
I think that there is a tendency by some photographers to introduce a sense of equipment snobbery. Personally as long as I am happy with my pictures I really don't care about opinions, having said that I do welcome "constructive" criticism, and appreciation. I took the picture below, and I quite like it. Surely isn't that all that matters
at the end of the day.

My initial reaction was
"It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!"

On a more thoughtful note....

It's most likely a conditioned response when you have been happily married nearly 50 years as I have :-)
