D90 + 16-85: Foggy

Interesting shot. I think closing the frame with a tree on the left side is a bit distracting. I'd crop it off. Also, I'd maybe try black & white, and adjust the black point for some more contrast. Ideally, you wouldn't have that fallen tree in the background, but that's a minor nit.

Agree w/ cropping the tree on the left. Beautiful pic! Worthy of wall space!

Looks like you're first post here. Welcome and congratulations on a wonderful image. I think it's absolutely beautiful. I love the contrast of the delicate lacy branches positioned in front of the the bold vertical lines caused by the trees in the background. I agree with the suggestion to crop slightly to eliminate the one tree on the left side of the frame. I'd be proud to have taken that one.

Did you convert the image to black and white or was the scene that unsaturated (I've shot in fog sometimes and gotten no hint of color)?

I am pleasant of your kind "critique". Yes, I am new (registerd) in this forum, although as a visitor - cca 3 y. I'v had cold feet. About picture: yes - the tree on the left side - it was a dilemma for me (gentle branches reach behind). B+W - I tried, but I like "natural monochromatic" more. - Unsaturated scene - natural color of trees was grey mostly, and strong PP (curves, exp. comp., sharp...) was applied. Exposure of original picture was not accurate. Sorry of my English.
Thank, thank, thank...
