Yes, it doesn't matter if you are using RAW. Read my reply to Leonard...just a bad sentence. I leave it down so that when I occasionally shoot JPEG, I don't have to to change my workflow in LR...I can just use the same "preset", which contains several edits, including sharpening.
And up till now I had thought your heart was pure. (insert emoticon of choice here)

It happens to me too... when I accidentally hit the mode dial and put the camera in a mode different from M... Because of this I shot a whopping 5 JPEGs in the last 2 years :D
