I was at a Christmas party Saturday and everyone was sitting around talking and having fun. The lighting was dark so I was using the 20mm lens at F/1.7.

My wife just stood off to the side with the GH2 and tapped the screen on the people she wanted in focus and was able to take some great pictures. Tap on a person close...done...tap on a person far away...done. Want some blurred candles in the foreground and people in focus in the background?...tap and done. It's a great easy to use feature.

+1 agreed, its a great feature that i would not want to lose now i have used it.

+1, I never thought I would use these touch-features that much.

I've only had my GH2 for a day, but I agree... it's much faster than the traditional focus/recompose method!

I agree as well. I thought it was a gimmick before I tried it. I know better now. It is a wonderful feature and it is extremely well designed. Panasonic has a real winner with the GH2. I just wish they would get in the game and sell it in the larger retail stores.

I reluctantly got the 14-140mm yesterday with my replacement GH2. It does actually focus slightly faster than the 45-200mm but the 45-200mm is still very usable.

I wouldn't trade my GH2 right now for ANY camera. Nothing can match its stills and video all in one compact unit.

I received my GH2 this past weekend and turned off the touch features. I have an iPhone and know how the touch features work but still doesn't feel faster that traditional manual focus.

I enjoy how now that the touch screen is getting used on the GH2, its not a gimmick. Some of us knew that already. Glad you're all on board. It's a great feature. Now, if I could only justify buying a GH2....

Season's greetings. I'm glad you are enjoying a wonderful camera at the perfect time of year to get one. On a local note, I can't resist saying that I spent a good portion of my life in Bellingham, and am an alumnus of WWU, class of '76, '84 and 98. I think I graduated from there one time too many!
