SD15 Reviewed in the new Popular Photograpy magazine...

The graphic designers I work with talk absolute b*llocks when it comes to describing digital files. They still think there is such a thing as a 72dpi digital file. It doesn't surprise me that you might be inventing terminology if you have that background; the errors seem endemic in the industry
I have never worked with graphic designers
They still think there is such a thing as a 72dpi digital file
you have lost me on this
in what context do you/they mean

Well, first of all, there isn't any grass in the photo: it's algae in the water that give it the green color. Since you didn't get that part of it right, I'll dismiss the rest of your rant as similarly erroneous.

Regarding the colour inaccuracy of Fovean sensors compared to bayer sensors I would like to see some proof
I'm not immune to the charms of the Bayer
approach (I do have 5 bayer cameras)

but I don't believe in magic. If this effect is there it must be reliably demonstrable. The abject failure to produce this demonstration is inversely proportional to the advocacy of the positing the effect. Personally, I'm 95% sure it doesn't exist and that whole thing comes downs to psychology and perceptual flaws but I would be delighted to be proven wrong by some hard evidence. I'm pretty much bored with listening to unsubstantiated claims though, however passionate. It's all too religious for my tastes.

thanks for saving me the typing

I have no problem understanding that your point. You have made that abundantly clear here over the years in hundreds of threads by repeating the same thoughts of yours, knowing no tiredness. I'm also sure that you are with the majority.

On the other hand, please allow the possibility that others may see it the way TRIODEROB does. I, for example, bought a Olympus E-PL1 + EV2 and an extra lens, after researching extensively for a large sensor compact. I used it exclusively for two months trying so hard to like it. I sold it in 3 months, for less than half of what I paid for it.

I have shot with Canon 50D and 7D users, and share photos with each other. I know a thing or two of the images from these cameras. They all agree that the images from my SD14 look better than theirs.
Is this one of the rebels? I have a 450D and a Sd14 rather than the cameras you mention and I would really struggle to understand any areas where the Sigma blows the Canon out of the water (strange reversed metaphor). They have their respective strengths and weaknesses.
