If I could suggest a feature to sony it would be this.

Since memory stick storage is limited, wouldn't it be great if you could insert 2 memory sticks into the camera ? Like a double shot of memory. I mean even if/when larger forms of media come out, it would still be a great feature to use even then. I have not seen this with other cameras, I think sony should break ground on this one. Let me know if you agree.

ive got one even better....how bout having the 'option' to use the built in USB2 connetion via wired to a portable HD like a mindstor 20gig device and every pic taken gets recorded directly to the HD for later transfer to your PC/MAC or Notebook. No more worry bout sticks.
eh...ehh....EHHHH!!!!!....now thats a darn good Canadian "eh!"

Oh Yeah, that would be great. Or, what if the camera could transmit the photos wirelessly to a mindstor via a PCMCIA wireless ethernet card? You could have a little photo server chugging away in your camera bag...

I have an even better idea - and it would cost nothing! How about an option for the user to pull out the current stick when it is full and insert an empty stick. Is that original or what!

Have a wireless connection from the camera to your cellphone and the cellphone automatically sends your pictures to your home or elsewhere as you take them.

-- bad bug in forums software --

Well, I had an interesting message herre but it got deleted by the forums software. I had nothing objectionable in the message and, when I clicked "Post", it wiped out my message and said "We don't appreciate that kind of language here, sorry."

I hope this doesn't start happening frequently.

Lesson learned -- don't edit messages in the web browser -- make a copy else where and paste it in to post.

Charles.

... I was going to say before my message got glitched...

It would be nice if somebody could make a wi-fi card with the same form-factor as the memory stick so we could add this feature without Sony's involvement.

lol i like that one :-) really for some of those there ideas are too many variables.. like you'd need programing in the camera for the cable transfer.. and they'd have to come up w/ some kind of standard so that 3rd party companies' hard drives would support the transfer, or sony would have to make their own hard drive. how about something more universal... like already you can get bluetooth adapters that fit the form factors of memory stick, SD, and compact flash... im sure the existing bluetooth cards wouldnt work for this w/o some kind of software support in the camera but how about if someone made a card w/ built in bluetooth that would act just like a standard memory card that works w/ a bluetooth enabled pc (or portable hard drive)? i dont personally see a use for this but im sure there are some instances where it'd be helpful. you snap a pic and instead of it being saved on the disk its sent to the pc/hard drive

Olympus E100-RS has a double slot: one for smart media the other for CF. They can be used interchangeably, on the fly...

Well I guess sony can't break ground with that idea then. I think that is a good idea though. Thanks for the info.
