Are there any owners of both cameras who would be able to post a comparison shot of the bodies side by side? thanks

Ergonomically, they are more similar than different. The positions of various dials and buttons have moved on the E-5 but once your hand learns where they are, they are just as natural. The control organization in terms of menus and such is fairly similar in concept but of course there's so much more stuff in the E-5 it takes more time to learn.in ergonomics?,,,I know your like,, the internal changes, correct?
I know I am being petty but the battery door and the connection cover are a definite step down from the E-1 in terms of robustness and feel (as is the card cover as many have commented on). I also liked (probably for no realistic reason) that the eyecups on the E-1 had their own optical glass element- tho the standard eyecup was far too small. Oh and I liked how the E-1 had a replaceable screen cover. They both feel solid and durable too, something I appreciate as I don't like changing cameras frequently.

I find the flexi covering for all the ports to be superior to the flip-door on the E-1 and E-3, which always seemed to get in my way. The battery door I don't see what the issue is ... At least to me, the E-1 drives me a little nutty that they didn't have a catch to keep the battery from launching out of the camera when I open the door. The card door ... I prefer the E-5 arrangement. Never liked the twist-catch on either the E-3 or E-1. Screen cover ... eh? It's the only part of the E-1 that I've had to replace twice, whereas the hardened cover glass on my L1 and G1 has survived lots of use and haven't a scratch on them. Hopefully, the hardened coverglass on the E-5 will do as well.I know I am being petty but the battery door and the connection cover are a definite step down from the E-1 in terms of robustness and feel (as is the card cover as many have commented on).
