Ditched DSLR gear for Oly Pen?? Respond ASAP.

I bought my EPL1 about two months ago and I'm loving it. I bought my first DSLR, a Canon 10D, about 7 1/2 years ago so I've been shooting DSLRs for quite a while. I still have the 10D as well as a 40D and I'm not getting rid of them any time soon. Each camera system has its place and I feel fortunate to have both.

Rather than outline my points here, I'll point you to a Youtube video that I made recently about this very topic:

It's just under 10 minutes long...

I understand that many E-PL1 users have and use a lens adapter. This allows for use of lenses from other manufacturers. Does it ever allow for full Auto abilities of these other lenses?
No. Never.
... if manually set, I am understanding that some settings are a bit time consuming to access on the E-PL1. So won't "non-native" lenses be especially combersome to use, then?...
Actually quite the opposite.

Older manual-focus manual-aperture lenses are quicker to set than modern automatic lenses. Also, the focus and aperture positions are visible and obvious just by glancing at the lens. You really do need and EVF for fine focusing though...
The camera is then responsible for ISO, WB and shutterspeed (etc)

Hi Ulfric,

I don't know, I see plenty of people working with the LCD in zoomed in mode for focusing. There's a couple of ways people then avoid switching back to full view for framing. I just read a post of somebody who first frames, then zooms for focusing, then just clicks because he knows he didn't change composition. I was planning on using the LCD in zoom mode all the time with a 50mm external VF for the Voigtländer 25/f0.95. It all depends on how you build up the image in your head & transfer to using the camera. A full live preview is a great thing to have, but with practice, it's not always necessary.

M43 is nice and i love my GF1 for travels but apart from the important factor size there are nearly no advantages compared to a normal DSLR.

Especially higher Isos and (continuous) focus are very important drawbacks of m43 which should not be taken lightly.

I´d get a Pen or a GF1 for size, if you want a built in view finder a DSLR is a far better choice than what m43 has to offer.

A GH2 would only be interesting for video for me.
