Tony: When you go to S.A. take time to look at the sall things along the river. I was there last week and saw a beautiful water snake at the rivers edge as well as several beautiful water birds. The crowing glory was three giant buzzards roosting on a rail by the river wating for a tourist to drop in the heat. Where was my camera when I needed it? STILL IN THE STORE!

Have you done any close up work with your fancy viewing hood? I'd love to see some of your pics and get your personal review of your 3K.

I am paranoid so I don't put my photos up on web sites (hosted that is). I maintain a private server at home on my DSL box and friends and family get the URL when I update it so they can view the photos.

I've not done any close up work (yet) with the hood, but it should improve things as it blocks out unwanted light while focusing and setting up the shot.

Have been to SA several times and even honeymooned there in 1982. Just have not been there since getting the digital on Memorial day.

Those buzzards are common for the area. They are turkey buzzards and they scare my wife silly.

Later.
