I've had my E-10 for a year now. In that year I have taken about 4000
pictures. Most are mediocre, some are plain garbage. However I feel that
there are a few nuggets mixed in here and there.

I took pictures on my vacations and I took pictures for work. I took
pictures as assignments for a photography class and I took pictures for
fun. I took pictures on which I based paintings, one of which won the
"People's Choice" award at a local art festival/contest, and I took
pictures that can be classified as "snapshots" with no artistic merit.

For my E-10's one year anniversary I decided to put up an on-line gallery
of some of the pictures I feel are the best of the lot.

Making the choices was not an easy task. Some I loved yet everyone else

hated. Some I hated while everyone else loved them. Some pictures look great in print but terrible on the computer screen. Others look great on screen but
terrible in print. How to choose?

I tried to put a little variety into my choices, but I unconsciously kept
picking similar pictures. At one time well over half of my choices came
from either my Wyoming trip or my Paris trip. Anyway, I tried to correct
this, at least a little bit.

The gallery is at: http://trentsworld.com/images/photos/years-best/

Comments welcome. Hope you enjoy.

P.S. - there will be a second part to this message with some random

thoughts on the E-10 after 1 years use. I'm tired so I will put it up sometime in the morning.

Hi Trent:

I have thoroughly enjoyed looking over your collection of photos. Many are stunning. I think you are most fortunate to live in New Hampshire where the scenery is so beautiful. I have owned my E-10 for just over 5 months and am still learning about it's capabilities. It is an impressive tool that I'm most interested in mastering. Thanks for posting.

You make the E-10 proud Trent and keep shooting because I'm sure that there are many that will enjoy viewing what your talent produces.

I would be very happy if I had a portfolio like this - thanks for sharing. I especially like the shot of the mountains and the 'Massive Air' shot!

I really enjoy New Hampshire. Every time I've been up to the real mountains in the state since I've had my E-10 it's been lousy weather so for real mountains I had to go to Wyoming. I'll just have to remind myself how wonderful it is living here as I shovel my drive this winter.

The E-10 is a great tool. A few quirks, but well worth getting to know.

Thanks for looking and your comments.

Yes, we bonded quite nicely. My wife's only a little jealous that I spend more time with my E-10 than with her.

Thanks for looking and for your comments.

When anybody says 1/650 isn't enough for action shots, I pull out the massive air picture. If I had been thinking I would have kneeled down so all you could see is the bicycle. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.

Thanks for looking and for your comments.

Hi Trent,

It's nice to stop, take a breather and think about the year now and then. What a nice way to do it! Thanks for sharing your E10 journey with us.

That bicylce shot surely puts the lie to the rumor that the Exx series cameras can't shoot action, doesn't it? Nice one! And the fog one is very nice also ....as are many others. Looks like you've been busy.

Where were the mountain shots taken? Not NH...right?

I almost didn't post that one. There was another that had the apple trees in bloom I almost picked instead. I'm glad I decided on htis one: the fof, sorry fog (I'll have to go back and correct that) really makes the shot.

Thanks for looking and your comments.

Sure, don't you recognize Mount Washington? Seriously, those are the Tetons in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.

When people say 1/650 isn't enough for sports shots, I like to tot out the bicycle shot. With all of that motion all of the spokes are still visible.

Everyone seems to like the fog.

Thanks for looking.
