Bob’s observations are spot on: Otherwise one would have to be a contortionist for some of the following shots. I will not buy another camera that does not have an articulated LCD, and that’s for sure. Here is a selection to illustrate the point, and perhaps others of the forum would care to submit their own fine examples of what an articulated LCD has achieved for them, (without putting their backs out!)

The articulated LCD; getting the shot that other cameras can only wish to aspire to! Let's see your examples folks!

Fantastic, once again I love that first one, but these are all just as good. Nice processing, or is it VIVID mode? The colour and light is great.

Lets get down and boogie.

A variety of different cameras used that have articulated LCD’s Brian, with some of course from the EX1. (I simply have not had the EX1/TL500 that long.) All however would have been shot and processed from raw files so – no vivid mode used.

Until recently where I have been beta-testing Oloneo PhotoEngine, the images would have been worked in RawTherapee which I think is an exceptional piece of software. Fine tuning thereafter would have been with Corel’s PaintShopPro-X2. Thanks for your comments as always.

Excellent set. Great choice of subjects. I love the articulating LCD too, but I'll have to search to see if I have a good example of how it helped me to capture the moment. :-)

All the best,

Photographers take pictures, not cameras.

You've Skillfully articulated the feature with great images...! Thanks for sharing..!

Yummy, if I'm not mistaken those mushrooms are Macrolepiota procera . I surely hope after taking the picture you did fry them in olive oil with a bit of black pepper and garlic, and served&ate them with fresh parsley and toast?!

Nice one Bob. What a gorgeous looking dog.

There is music in my family too: My parents were members of two operatic societies doing such shows as Oklahoma, King and I, Orpheus, that sort of thing. And my brother, his wife and youngest daughter all play in the Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra. Me? I can’t even play a gramophone record.
