I just took a few test shots indoor at f1.8. Need to take serious pictures yet.

Heavy, awesome finish, gorgeous looks...! I like the heaviness of the heft.. It feels better in the hands.

I like the natural colors of pictures just out of camera. I am sure, I am going to like it a lot. It looks, I am going to find it difficult to get a case that I like for this camera...!
BTW, Thanks to the helpful folks of this forum. They made my decision easy.

Special thanks to Bob,Brianj and Rogersphere...whose posts gave a lot details about this camera...!

One last thing about the video, the 640x480 video is not bad with this camera...It doesn't have HD... But doesn't matter to me....! I have a panny ZS3 that takes Awesome HD Video...( and poor indoor photos...!(lol)...!
Will be back soon with some pictures, I hope..!

Glad you like it. It's quality through and through. Regarding a case : mine lives in a soft leather lens pouch. Enjoy your new camera!

Check this one out. I just bought it from Sears for $10 yesterday. It fits the camera horizontally perfectly even if you have the JCL built-in lens cap. The extra pocket can fit three batteries and/or sd card casing. It has a belt loop and the carabiner which can be handy to clip to the backpack. The padding inside is adequate but not as thick as the Lowepro Res 10 AW case which can make it bulkier...

I also have an unused new Lowepro Res 10 AW which is nicer but a bit bulky due to thicker padding and all-weather proof. It has the shoulder strap, belt loop and two pockets inside for sd card and battery storage...

I also have that one, fits well but maybe a little too soft.

On seeing your thread , I could retreve a case logic case TBC303 that I bought long back for Fuji F30 and shelved it because it was too big. My son retrived it for me and it looks to fit the bill though a little soft.

I bought Canon PSC5100 Deluxe Leather Case for PowerShot G10 along with the camera. But found it too bulky to be carried on the belt. I am using it now to store the battery chargers (I have one for my Panny ZS3 too..!).
Thanks for the inputs.

What a place to hide..! The cuckoo chick grows in Crow's nest...! The camera doesn't look all that out of place...

Does this Canon leave space for 2 batteries?

Ha Ha! Well, it’s a snug fit for sure, and shows that the EX1 is no more bulky than my Canon A650 (now relegated to my Tokina 24-200 lens pouch!)

But snug is the word, and no room for auxiliary stuff like spare SD cards or batteries I must add.
