My english is poor,sorry...

The later frames were cropped is it due to the EVF delay effect during tracking? Could you please kindly post the exif. Thank you.

These are amazing, the camera tracked focus perfectly as the subject approached. I haven't had this good results with mine yet, but I haven't spend much time trying either. I'm really impressed.

I don't think the last few pics are cropped because of EVF lag, I think the subject got too large for the frame as it approached. Still nicely centered. Great job.

MY PC(motor-cross 19 photos )...

I covered the local motorcross events for several years in my old location and take it from me if you can hold the subject that well for 18 shots then you are doing an excellent job, forthe camersto follow focus like that is brilliant too!

With my Olympus E10 (about 6-8 years ago) I was happy if i got one or two shots of each jump - if I had more than five bikes in a group I was struggling to get them all in at one frame per bike spread over a couple of seconds
You have done very well

Usually i relied on the race running multiple laps so I could get each rider on one of the laps at least

Now next time out see if you can get one or two frames of each bike as it comes over the jump then I will be even more impressed :-)

only joking this is top quality shooting and I am sure you can do what i suggest if you wish to, It is obvious the tools and you are up to the task

No its cropped because the subject got too close to you and you did not zoom in to compensate. Great shots!
I'm confused. If the subject gets too close shouldn't you zoom out? Wouldn't you crop because the subject was too far and/or you didn't zoom in enough.

Is that an eotech weapons sight mounted ontop... is this to help in tracking?

Wonderful shots! The a55 did exactly as advertised: kept focus while a fast moving object was coming towards it. And you did a fine job keeping things as centered as possible. As someone said, next time you could try zooming "out" -- meaning to zoom to a wider angle on your zoom (from 200mm towards 70mm...) -- to catch more of the bike as it comes closer to you.

Thanks for sharing. And your English is just fine! No worries...
