--Thank you Digby I really appreciate your kind comments. Comments like these give me the confidence to do even better images. These are absolutely superb lee, it’s more than mist, its pure ambiance. Without doubt the combination of your eye and skill, the now legendry lx3 and the brilliant DXO optics pro, a magic trilogy is complete – the first images are in and it’s just bloody wicked!
After scrolling down then up, heaps of times, soaking it all in, they have to be equal artistically – technically the first “is first”, hands down.
As for DM’s help, that’s what makes this place special, people helping each other reach their own potential. We’ve all certainly learned from you lee, there are many landscapes posted now which no longer ignore the power of a crisp detailed foreground and more posters seek out landscapes with difficult lighting for the increased opportunity rather than something otherwise avoided.

--Thanks Painter for your comments. What I can say about the original is that I took these photos before I downloaded the DXO and played around with Picasa and just could not get what I wanted. Bearing in mind I did bracket at the time of taking these photos but I couldnt bring the detail out on the archway in the old mine and get it how I liked without passing them thru the DXO s software. I find it a very impressive tool when you have tricky situations shooting into light.Very powerful, if somewhat unsettling, ( or as you yourself said-"ghostly") images Leeland. They are very well composed. The second one is my favorite. The sort of short grass, clumpy swath reads like a stretch of river rapids to me. There is a strong sense of motion there. On another point, it's hard to comment on the effect of the DXO processing without seeing the "befores", but I'm glad you're happy with its' contribution.
--Thanks for your comments DanielYou definitely captured a mood here, Lee. Very well done. The first really stands out for me, because of the sun rays. Great shots.
