Hi all!
Did anybody else have have this problem today?

Whenever I turned the camera on, it asked me to set date / time. It had itself set back to 1/1/2010, 12:00am. I could only stop this by disabling the auto adjust feature. I am kinda thinking that this may have something to do with the fact that daylight savings was turned off today in Europe, but not the U.S.
Or is my camera broken?

Thanks for any input!

There was a firmware update to correct a bug with how it gets the time through the GPS receiver. That might be your problem. There is a free firmware dowload on the Sony support site.

No, you're not eating tainted Halloween candy. Mine too (HX5V) did that several times last night during trick-or-treating out here in Seattle. With the GPS it usually "aligns" the time properly...not last night. I had it do that before and I took the memory card and battery out and in and that seemed to work. Already checked the camera this morning...a-ok.

Al

p.s. I also changed the settings in the menu of "home" (set to the east coast U.S.) to "destination" (west coast), but I thought that was all automatic with the GPS

Thanks to both of you. I will try the firmware update. Hopefully that will fix it.
I am surprised that only two of us here have experienced this problem.
