Hello everybody and welcome to the voting session of the fifth NTF
CoolPix Challenge!

Sorry about the delay in getting this thread and the gallery
online. I have been really busy this last week, and I'm still not
sure where Dave (Blend43) is... hope he is OK.

Even though entries were a little low compared to the last
Challenges (maybe everyone was busy this time? :-) I even forgot
to enter my pic!), all the photos that were entered should make you
all very proud! A lot of these photos are of 'Callender quality' -
well in my opinion anyway! :-)

Now it's time for the really hard part, VOTING!

Please note that voting will cease at 7pm Saturday, 2nd November.
(Extended one day due to this late post... sorry folks!)

The thumbnail gallery of all entries can be found here:

Please read ALL the rules for voting (shown below) prior to placing your vote
  • RULES FOR VOTING:
~ NOTE: this voting will work the same as previously - it will change to the new style for Challenge 6.

1. To vote, members should perform a "follow-up (reply)" on this
main post. That is: "Challenge 5 - VOTING - Best Composition.

2. Each member can use up to three votes. Each member can
distribute these three votes in which ever way they wish. For
example, a member might want to distribute one vote each to three
different photos of equal liking, place all three votes onto one
photo, or place two votes on one photo and one on another.

3. The title (subject) of the "follow-up (reply)" message MUST
CONTAIN THE NAME (NICKNAME) OF THE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE PHOTO YOU
WISH TO ALLOCATE YOUR VOTES. For example, if you would like to vote
for three different pictures, place all three names in the title
(subject). If you would like to place two votes for one picture and
one vote for another, then you would place "JOHN x 2, SMITH" in the
title (subject).

4. Absolutely no follow-ups/replies containing comments/suggestions
should be made in this post ""Challenge 5 - VOTING - Best
Composition".

If you wish to add some comments on the reason behind your votes,
please put it in the "Message" area of your voting thread. The
"Subject" area of the voting thread should ALWAYS contain the
name/s of your votes.

5. Members cannot vote for their own photo!

6. Votes received before or after the voting period will not be
counted.

If I have missed anything out, please let me know.

Good luck everyone - and may the lucky one win! I guess that
should be the best person win... but I think so many pics are so
good, that maybe the winner must also have a bit of 'luck' on their
side! :-)
--

Yours sincerely,
Michael Offe,
South Australia.

P.S. I am now off to bed... it has taken some time to get this
message re-worded and the Gallery online - in fact its now 3:30am
here!
Goodnight, and congratualtions on all the great photos!

I really wanted to vote for these too
Paul_Martin
MarkV
PowerPet
Ken_Walsh

But I'm only allowed 3 votes. It was very difficult to chose and the composition was great on all shots. The final choice came down to whether the shot ecluded everything that didn't need to be there and included all that did.

This was a very tough choice, to my eye there were about 10 to 12 that really stood out but all were good. It's taken about an hour viewing and reviewing images to come down to a final choice, as I said, a very tough choice.
