Not easy to find new places/pictures.
When? 20 years ago, old scans from analog days :)
Which country and city?
Which well known company owns these buildings?
Left and right view, with a small overlap.



 
Still I think it was not easy. I have not been there and there is nothing I recognize from the google images except maybe the two square chimneys. Since it was not in NL or DE I thought it might be in Denmark since that's your residence. Since it is not Lego world it could only be Carlsberg being only other well-known Danish company.

Look it is Luke Skywalker, but where is he???

Jank, you are correct. In the background it is the Vor Frelsers Kirke in Christianshavn in København.

only wrong structure, but in the right country (Italy)?
or wrong type of structure (the statue looks more secular than divine)?
 
You even got the city correct. It's a world-famous, secular structure. It usually is not photographed from this angle.
