I ordered mine but haven't got it yet. Yet I already wish my camera had more features while waiting. A friend who lives in the US happens to visit his family here so I ordered the TL500 from Amazon. He's gonna bring it to me at the end of the month.

multi aspect you are always cropping part of the sensor - ie never using full sensor size...
Why would you want this when you want a filter ring?
maybe the 1/4000 would be nice the other can be accomplished with a bulb setting and a remote cable release...

Never happen - 1080p yes AVCHD is a pana/sony bastardization of H.264 Samsung using the industry standard H.264 and is unlikely to license a proprietary tech. here.
Unlikely - Samsung has a raw file format.

not likely - EX-1 uses the same connection as the rest of our lineup. EX-2 is likely to continue this trend.

possible but we just released a filter adapter for the EX-1 - we may continue in the same direction...
Please note: I haven't seen a replacement for the EX-1 and I feel it is near perfection as it is. It is unlikely to be replaced any time soon and still has life to it. So those of you waiting - will be waiting a while yet. Enjoy it as it is. (which is to say the best P&S still camera on the market!)

Don't forget to make the camera FASTER. Continuous mode with RAW of at least 2fps would be great. Also, all modes should work together and not be disabled for no reason. Auto HDR, auto panoramic/stitching. I get mine next week. First compact since a Fuji f30!

Yes...
ISO value, aperture size, shutter speed. What need is there for touchscreen when this is all the control we have anyways?

I almost bought the EX-1. All I would want to see on an EX-2 would be the features of the EX-1 with an OVF and the ability to turn off noise reduction. I think I'd buy one at that point. I love the build quality and feel of the camera as is.

You've got that already as an accessory, and you won't see this integrated in the camera as it would un-necessarily bulk it up while the AMOLED screen works in any light conditions. Having the OVF as an accessory, for the few that realy want it, makes the most sense and I don't see Samsung changing that.

Then perhaps you should buy one; it is a very good photographic tool, and your objections are pretty minor IMO.

I agree with Roger. For ordinary shooting, the level of NR used by the EX1 is quite well judged . And if you're ultra-fussy, you should use RAW.
As for an OVF, there is both the Samsung product and cheaper alternatives available. (Do a search in this forum.) For my GF1, I have the optional electronic viewfinder, which is more useful than an optical one (shows you exactly what the sensor sees), but most of the time I don't use it, and the EX1's articulated viewfinder is superior to the GF1's fixed one.

I like an OVF to add a third contact point for stabilizing my not-so-steady hands lol. I searched high and low on the internet, and i don't believe the accessory viewfinder is available in the USA. That speaks volumes about Samsung's commitment, if you ask me.
Touch screen usefulness is subjective. I would usually not want touch screen cameras for the fact that it drains power fast. If i need to shift focus points , I would shift it with selection auto focus, slow but at least it doesnt drain up power that fast.

There are several optical viewfinders available here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140432280063 The hot shoe size of the EX1/TL500 is standard, so any OVF made for the standard hot shoe will fit.
If you must have the Samsung brand OVF, which I think is overpriced at CN$200 (I've seen it and handled it), it's available from Henry's and Vistek in Canada. I don't know why Samsung USA doesn't bring it in. (Maybe they think it's overpriced, too, and don't think that people will buy it.)
If your main expected use of the OVF is to keep the camera steady, then I'd say that can be accomplished even more effectively with the articulated viewer, holding the camera against your belly with the viewer oriented horizontally, twin-reflex style.
