I've tried some of the online photo editors with this picture without much success. Granted I am a noob, but I would like to see what you professionals could do with it.

This would make a great family photo, but there are some problems with it. I think there is too much noise, the colors are not vibrant enough, the sky could be bluer, and Id like to get rid of the house on the right side.

Think you could help me out?

I really like what you guys are giving me here- especially you quick play...but there is one problem.

When I download your retouches and blow them up, I notice alot of jaggy edges-quite a bit more than the original. Is this a limitation of the website or the original picture I supplied you or the touchup?

I plan on making this into at least an 8x10, so im worried that this might show through.

If I am doing something wrong please let me know, or maybe you have a way that I can get to your touchup of my picture on another site that is higher resolution?

thanks again.

Here's my try.

Do you have the original untouched or raw version? Once you add a bunch of adjustments it makes it harder for retouchers to get it natural looking.

It was a small file to begin with -- hence you'll see the jagged edges when you enlarge, unfortunately.

That's the original copy untouched. When I blow it up I don't see near the amount of jaggies so it must be an upload problem on my end

I think I see the problem but Im not sure how to rectify it. My original picture is 2.8mb in size. I dont think that is the size picture that you guys are seeing to do the edit? If not, how to I get the full size picture uploaded to this site?

And a couple other minor tweaks

Only when you can criticize yourself, should you criticize others. Mikes.

I appreciate all the edits, unfortunately I have not been able to find a way for you guys to get at my original photo that is in my gallery and much higher quality to start with.

If anyone know how to do this I would appreciate and advice.

You have to click " (original) " above the picture. That will open the full size.

Mentioned this before; easier to retouch something like this at a lower rez. This type of noise is very difficult to fix at resolution. You will either get a plastic look, or over blur, or get the contrast right, but the noise will be pretty bad. Bet it will print fine though by the way (your original that is). Point and shoot cameras, particular cheap ones, give you this grainy/fuzzy look. I have a Sony W7 point and shoot with a very nice lens that take near perfect captures considering it is a point and shoot. I do like the results of my Leica better though. At full rez, an artistic interpretation might be better. :)

Very nice family photo. Here is my version, in which I duplicated the background layer, changed the duped layer's mode to "multiply", adjusted the opacity of the duped layer to taste, merged the layers and applied some USM:
