I have a photo which I took with my Kodak Z915 this summer and I wanted to fix the barrel distortion.
I don't have Photoshop so I googled for a free barrel distortion fix program.

I first downloaded PTLens (10 Free trials) but the program did not change anything in the photo that I wanted to edit.

I then downloaded Gimp 2.6 for windows and after about half an hour of fiddling around I managed to fix the photo.

Below is the before and after:

Nice captured and I like her post.

Regarding the barrell distortion, I don't seem to recall to see just distortion from my 915. I should try out mine to see if in deed it has such a degree of barrel distortion.

That GIMP is pretty powerful for a freebie, however I've found it a real real pain to use. I have it for more than year, still not able to master it.

It's a charming capture in a lovely location.

What post, Chiue? Do you mean the invisible one her hand is resting on?

LOL, I know you meant to write 'pose' and the 'e' and 't' letters are so close together on the keyboard.

We've not noticed any here either, but then our '915s have never been near the sea. I thought the curved skyline was due to the earth's curvature!

I'm trying out the Gimp Portable but it has no advantages for us over Photoimpression 4.

Best from Myfanwy.

Lovely shot and beautiful color, I have been using Gimp for two years now and find it as good as Photoshop that I used for years, it takes a while to get used to but when mastered its a great tool, the reason I use it is because I made the switch from a Windows OS to a Linux OS and Gimp is part of the package.
