*** Mini Challenge #277 ~ Tasty Food ***

The food looks a real killer but what a way to go:-) All three show the food off to mouth watering levels. We normally dip strawberry's into dark chocolate at Xmas time, delicious.
Regards Rod

All shots made the food look very tempting but your Mums cake looks like a real winner in the taste department.
Regards Rod
Thanks Rod, it was in fact the winner in the taste department, especially with a hot cup of tea, yumm!

Almost 12 hours later and so many great shots and entries, and I am getting hungry now. :)

Yes the coffee with vanilla ice cream is addictive , I kept shooting poorly focused shots so I would have to keep making more to shoot:-)
Regards Rod

Nice shots Rod, like everyone else, the Espresso is my favorite.

I also like the lighting in the 3rd one with the shadows on the left, I suppose it was made using a desk lamp or something and a very dark room, am I correct?

Nice ones Ray, I like the 3rd one more than the other.

And for the pie eating contest, are you sure that he was not eating the dish along with the pie? It looks like fun. :)

P.S. If you have the RAW files (you can even do it on the JPG), I believe the grape fruit and the tart pictures would have worked better with a corrected white balance, they look like they were shot in tungsten light and the camera didn't correct for this, just open your image in the editor, choose the white balance eye dropper and click on any white portion in the image.

Delicious!
I think it could have looked even tastier from a slightly lower angle.

Come on, just keep your camera ready and take a picture of any tasty food you encounter in the upcoming week. :)

Well, I have a warped sense of humor, but I failed at getting this.
Also reminds me of this one (taken with a Nokia N97 mini):

Wow! All three looks better than each other, and you have posted them in exactly the same order I favor them.

Yumm, the rib looks really juicy and well made, exactly the way I like it.

Something delicious is cooking.

You are all going to make me go out and shoot more pictures and post them here for fun.

Oh yes, delicious cooking with lots of colors.

And the fried fish/shrimp/clam is one of my favorite (and more expensive) sandwiches here in Egypt. Good shots Jim.

That espresso shot is great - an early odds-on favorite I'd say!

I have a pretty cool shot of the works of an espresso machine, but its a cool industrial looking shot - no food involved. Jeez, that just looks delicious and the machine looks great in that shot too.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually played with the WB on both of those in Aperture (I shoot everything RAW, so its all available). The grapefruit looks more natural with the WB adjusted and you could argue its better either way, but I sort of like it the way it is better even though its less natural looking - the spoon jumps out a little bit more with this less natural WB and I slightly prefer it this way.

The tart, when adjusted for the blown out white spot at the base of the wine glass, just looks flat and dead. It looks much more inviting as is. The grapefruit is arguable in terms of which works better. I don't think there's even a question on the tart though.

Yes Jim and mshafik ,
I generally eat my steak and prime rib med/well done.

and Mr. Rod,
I didn't cook all the food I presented here,
except the last one (:

and as far as the divorce, I could be a 300 lb. person with all the food I eat. (((:

Really nice ones Ami, the appetizers look, ummm, appetizing. :)

You must be from some Arabic country, I know most of the appetizers and food there since I'm Egyptian.
