C5050Z first look at Steve's

I look forward to see his pictures. Specificly the m&m, the brick bldg., the park with the slide and the Bon Appetio cafe. I look for noise, resolution and dynamic range compared to other cameras. Time will tell, soon.
Thanks for the update. Not much news at Steve's but I got the
feeling that he seemed pretty happy with the pre-production camera.
Lets hope for the best.

I wish I could have the Europe version of the C5050

I am very confused, supposeddly ...

ISO, shutter speed, file type, LCD resolution ... who know's what else, I called Olympus they were as confused as I was, they were sure that there were at least 2 different models of the 5050.

I read your other thread about this. Let us all know what they tell you on Monday if they call. Thanks!!!

I think the US and european version will very likely have the same functionality. I see the (animated) screenshot of the menu where you can lock iso at 64, 100, 200 and 400. Also according to a link I posted earlier the camera would have no aperture/shutter speed info in the top lcd. Wrong! ;-)

They've really put in a lot of work into this model. BTW, I like the LCD hood. Also, I wonder what's new in the Pro bracket for off-camera flash setup compared to the FBK01!

It also looks like a rubberized grib! So much features to mention, but I guest we're all waiting on the same thing - more samples. We'll see.
In addition, I just found a c5050 lcd hood on the olympus Japan site.

Sorry 'bout the wrong model number, to be exact it should read

"FL-BKP02 Flash Bracket Pro and FL-CB05 Flash Cable are available for side mounting"
