Thank you! I thought the clouds looked really dynamic in the second shot, the 16:9 mode works really well.I found had that feel of the LX3. LOL I know it sounds dumb but up untill these shots especially the no 2, the LX 5 looked more detailed or clear to my eyes but just didn't have that feeling of those clouds etc. I can't explain it myself so I bought the LX 3 lol. But I loved these nice job! The LX5 does look a winner after all lol.

I shot in Program-mode - contrast and sharpness at 0, and i-Exposure was off. ISO was automatic (max. 400) and AWB set to sunny, intelligent resolution low. I did realise that I had the focus set on macro for most of them - even though I was shooting landscape (having never had the choice to choose before I completely forgot to change), so I'm not sure how much of an effect this had - if any. The film mode was standard. What settings did you use for contrast, sharpness, i-Exposure, etc?
I agree Cheryl that these are some of the best LX5 shots that I've seen - and the most LX3 like . The LX5 may prove capable of such strong results consistently - or not. In the meantime the LX3 definitely is. I think you may be glad you bought the LX3. I've had one for a year or so, and really love it.I found had that feel of the LX3. I had my eye on the LX3 for over a year, the only thing preventing me from pushing the button was the limited zoom. I'm so glad the LX5 came out as for me it has everything I need. The LX5 may prove capable of such strong results consistently - or not. In the meantime the LX3 definitely is.
