S602 pictures on TV

Question:
When I show pictures from my S602 on a TV the pictures are in BW.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a fault with the camera?
What country are you living in and where (what country) did you buy your camera?

Have you tried it in a different port. Not sure on US TVs but on UK ones with multiple scart sockets I always found my PS2 played DVDs in B&W if not on Scart 1.

I live in and purchased camera in US.
I just wanted to be sure that the camera wasn't a model for a different TV system (PAL for you in the states).

As I am living in Europe I am not so certain if there are specialities in connecting the camera to the TV such as a switch that determines wether the signal is seen CBAS or Y/C.

Charlie I'm in Canada and mine worked fine. If you did have a PAL output, based on what I've seen in the past you would know you had a problem and I don't think you would have seen much, if anything (let me be cautious on that statement - when I was at a meeting and someone from Holland popped a video cassette into the machine - it was PAL on a NTSC machine and we got nothing at all).

Let's assume that the PAL/NTSC thing is a red-herring if it was bought and used in US - it is very unlikely that the above is out of step.

What I don't think HAS been definitely established (has it?) is what is I think almost certain the problem ... precisely WHAT socket(s) are you plugging the camera into onTV ?

If to a SCART, well they can be different - if to phono type inputs they can MOST certainly be different. It's the same problem often arising on plugging a camcorder into a TV -unless you use the RIGHT sort of input AND with your AV on the remote to match - you'll get B&W
