Dear Friends,

Recently, I had been posting all my images in this forum, occasionally posting in the Nikon forum to invite people to came here and have a look at the images in this forum. This did attract some people to come over to this forum and look around a bit. But my few postings at the Nikon forum are making some people unhappy there

Some of the posts, around the one above, are downright rude. This is leaving a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, so I will take it easy for a while, and will not be posting here for some time. I will concentrate on woodworking, and painting for a while.

Cheers and happy shooting!

I'm so new I have yet to know you, but thanks for being there to push us further. I am sure we'll all still be here when you return.

Cheers to you Furrukh!

Don't take it so hard. Never forget your dealing with other people. People that may have had a bad day and need a dog to kick.

I'm surprised at the individuals who jumped on you. Those same people have contributed a lot to the Nikon Forum and other forums. I don't recall offhand any of them every doing this.

Let it roll off.

I agree with your comment regarding the fact that each person can choose to click or not to click on a thread to open it up. The threads that contain images are pretty obvious. Even if they're not, every browser has a stop button.

So what's the story? Jealousy? Insanity? Who cares. Laugh it off and keep doing what makes you happy! :)

Remember the days of the "dreaded blue fringe" threads and the insults that were being thrown back and forth? Didn't stop me. Didn't stop iNova. I still run into some people who insulted me and seems everything is ok now.

It is discourageing to read those few complainers, Furrukh, but there are many more friends than complainers so don't dwell on those poor souls' comments.
You are a treasure to many!

Just a note to say I've gotten a lot of encouragement from your photos and your comments. I've taken photos on 35mm for many, many years but am still new to digital. It helps to see what can be done, and then strive to push myself a little further with new techniques and subjects. I love doing it. Most people on this forum are very supportive of each other, and I suppose we should ignore those that are being negative. A little hard to do when our craft is involved. Too much like hearing our children criticized!! Joan C

Thanks everybody for your friendly comments. I really do not feel upset. The bad taste in my mouth is gone after a good nights sleep. I feel honored to have friends like you. In a few weeks I am going on work related trips, first to the west coast, and then to Europe and then to Japan and Taiwan. I will definitely be taking my camera with me. I have to start preparing for these trips, so it seems like an appropriate time to hang up the camera for a while, and concentrate on these trips. Meanwhile I will post a few more images in the pipeline. I have replaced the “Ladle and Lemmon” image with “Ladle and Orange 1” image, even though the post still says “Ladle and Lemmon”. If you click on that post you will see the change. I also have a few “bells of Ireland” images in the works. I will definitely continue posting and interacting with all my friends at this forum when I return from these trips in a couple of months. I will have Internet access wherever I go, so I will following your work. It is nice to see that this forum is getting more active.

Cheers and happy shooting!

Have a safe trip and fill up those CF cards.

That's very very unfortunate. I enjoy your gallery very much, and I can't see how people can be upset about it. I look forward to your new pictures.
