I've just begun experimenting with shooting with a combination higher ISO speeds and shutter speeds.

My exploration is currently incomplete (and probably will be for some time) & also inconclusive.

Perhaps this could be an open-ended thread and we can all put it up to have a look at some of the possible outputs the camera is capable of, and make up our own conclusions about it.

Please share yours too = )

Thanks for posting, much appreciated.

The images look fairly clean.

Could I request that you post full size originals onto Flickr or somewhere similar, only one of each the 800 and 1600 ISO, if possible.

Thanks.

no problem, its great to share and bounce ideas = )

i'll try to upload original full-res pictures, for flickr so far i realised that my pictures have been resized.

My attached photos here are resized via Picasa export and have a set size of 1600xrel.

On flickr, it becomes something like 1024xrel. Is this because I am not a 'Pro' (paid) user?

Hmmm, not sure. Not a pro user myself but it sounds logical. Not entirely sure where else you could post full size originals without paying a fee.

You could always e-mail them if bandwidth wasn't an issue?

I'm after a new compact and the last two standing on my list are the WB2000 and S95. Not in the same class but each has it's own strengths. From what I've seen online though the WB2000 produces good clean images, for the most part and at the lower ISO's especially is not too bad when compared to the S95.

Samsung must think low noise is important to users because they dropped the MPs from the WB1000 to the WB2000.
