New Canon Rebates (8/29 - 9/11)

Canon just announced some rebates if you buy a body and pair it with a lens but none of the lenses are on my short list. I'm assuming that Canon will offer additional rebates in the Fall hopefully? I guess we won't know for sure but hopefully they will.

Rebates are pretty useless though unless you need a new body. Better off buying used.

I saw that one of the lenses I was interested in, 100 IS Macro, was eligible for rebate but I don't need another 7D

I'm not sure why that didn't work because it's a link to the .pdf coupon.

I hope they have some better rebates in the Fall. These are only good if you need a new body...ugh !!

I just recently bought a 5DII kit as well as a 300 F/4L IS and a 70-300mm. Looks like neither of those are up there, unfortunately...

It also works as an instant rebate at the online retailers such as B&H or Adorama... so you have options. Canon had to react to the rebate fiasco that happened with their 3rd party processor a while back... which makes a lot of sense to me. If you want to do a promotion there is no reason to make us jump through hoops and pray we get our rebate. Good on Canon for going this route.
