I'm truly saddened to see your message about leaving the forum. Leo's post of your email was even more distressing.

I can only speak for myself and I say that I think you've misconstrued the criticism I made the other day...it has nothing to do with 'cameras' but everything to do with 'attitude'.

My impression of you is that of a master...not only of photography but of principles...a gentlemen in every sense of the word.

Offensive? NEVER!
Self-indulgent? NEVER!!
Demanding? NEVER!!!

You are, in my opinion, a wealth of inspiration, talent and information that embodies everything this forum strives to represent. It matters not what sort of camera you employ...what does matter is the sort of person you are. And I, for one, will miss you.

Thank you for all your kindness and I hope you will reconsider - and stay,

Thanks, by the time i posted that, I realized I could find it. I used to live not too far from Golden, BC, it's a wonderful location.

And if I may be so bold, Bill's site show's just how right you are and how good he is at proving it.
Definately a site where the phrase "worth a thousand words" comes to mind.

i looked at that link...WOW. his stuff is fabulous. and i mean it.

this is an inspiration to people like me. maybe someday i can make just one pic like that...
