Classic Car Close Ups

I think that the last image is the best, because it's the most unique by far. The first three on the other hand are so very predictable. That's not meant as an insult, I too have those sorts of shots in my portfolios. I even have a shot like that on my site's homepage.

That last one just stands out so much for me.

Thanks for answering my question as to B&W, taking trouble to do so in the first place.

(As for your plan to "reprocess" some pictures: I don't think that's good idea ...
Maybe refreshing to put these aside for awhile ? )

I know what you're saying.

I've found it's difficult photographing car shows, as the the cars are close together, so you get reflections.
Then there's the background, that's full of distractions.

So most of the time I shoot close up and straight on to minimise all of the above.

Ideally I'd have one car with no stickers on the wind screen/shield, against a non distracting background.
