Great shot! However if I may comment, there is no true black/white in the photo, so you may want to consider upping the contrast to make it look punchier.

Well, I won't disagree with Imp, but I did use channel mixer for the conversion and I think it is a pleasing result.
What method did you use to convert? The channel mixer shouldl give
more pleasing result.

Clone out the lower catch light out of the eyes.
Adjusted the brightness/contrast very slightly.
Reduced the brightness in the corners.

David, thanks for your input. Take a look at Vanity Fair, US Vogue or maybe even W, I don't see anyone burning in a vignette in a high key shot in fashion/editorial style photography. Catch lights? I live for catch lights! The more the better. How better to see the beauty of the eyes than to grab you with them. It brings attention to the eyes, makes you linger, and then you won't need to to be brought back to the subject by burning in the corners. This isn't a high school Senior portrait... and I have done hundreds. This is for a comp card, not the yearbook.

I know you are tryng to be helpful, and I appreciate your efforts. The contrast boost does look better in internet explorer, but it, IE, limits itself to I believe sRGB and is a handicapped color space thanks to Microsoft.

Wow David, the image just comes to life. Looks like it belongs in a magazine centerfold. Great work! It's in the details.

Whatsuup Doc,

You don't have to be upset, different people see it different plusYou post it here to get some critic. I think you almost burn it and could use less intense light read hursh but this is only my opinion.
Thanks Darius.

Darius,

I am not upset, David posted a very valid critique. No problem here. I only replied with my own.

David, I did not specifically ask for any input. I just posted a photo and you altered it to your taste. The difference is miniscule, why the hatred? I just did not agree with you, sorry
