If you cared to check bjku personals, you would see that he lives in Stillwater OK, USA.

When it was to advertise his store Mr Posner was frequent the forums. Where is he now? If, he has to say anything, which I doubt!

Besides , how many emails has someone to send? And to think that bjku wanted to give them his money. The one email bjku missed to send, was to the BBB of NY.

Thanks.

But I am now in Stillwater, OK, US.

My disappointment was about the attitude and way of the representative toward the customers over telephone.
I think their website is very good.

But if you try to ask for more things from their representative, you can feel what I felt before.

It took almost 5 times calls and 2 hours to complete my order.
It was terrible.

I complained to a manager about the attitude of the representative when I ordered 5 months ago.
Her response was just response, no sorry.
She didn't promise anything.
So I decided I wouldn't hope any more than order, any hope.

I studied something about cameras at BHPhoto.com, so I have been so much familar with it.

In my wishlists of there, I backed up many items, and I couldn't give it up.

Anyway I hope this order is the last at there.

Who is Henry Posner?
She wasn't he.

Thanks again for your interest.

mr bjku instead of whining why dont you do something constructive
I think you should help him or MOVE ON!

Even though he is hard to understand it sounds like he has an issue. I for one wish to hear this so as NOT to make the same mistake. I used B&H mail order several times, years ago, with no problems but, this looks to be the "Web" way to do business these days. I have heard this before. His being foreign or other wise should have nothing to do with the "Bait & Switch" routine web stores are doing today.

I just had the same thing happen to me last month with CDW. I placed my order for an MB5700 battery pack but I did not give my Credit card info. I said I might want to pay by check because they gave no way to tell if the item is in stock or not.

Chris, from CDW called the next day asking for my card number and said that was all they he needed to process the order and that the MB5700 was in stock. I then, gave him my card info.

A couple of days later He called again to inform me that the 25 units he had in stock went out and that I would be the first on the next back-order list.

He flat out lied to me! He told me in th 1st phone call that he had 25 units and all he needed was my card info to send me one. I called CDW in the 1st place because nice people HERE said that they had some and that CDW was good to do business with. THAT TOO WAS A LIE!

Another person here said to try Jack's Camera so I did. I got an email the next day fron Diane. She had one for me in stock and was shipping it to me with my card info. Then she sent me a conformation that it had been shipped. NOT an excuse why it wasn't going to happen, NOT a sales pitch to buy a generic battery, NOT even a pitch to buy the batteries or a CASE, those guys LOVE to sell cases and lens tissues.

Diane of Jack's Camera sold me an MB-5700 battery pack for $129.00 and a few dollars shipping and I got my order about 3 days later.
NO EXCUSES!
NO "BAIT AND SWITCH"!
JUST RESULTS ! ! !

In fact YOU, sound like one of those Lying crybabies to me. Why else would you take time to attempt to discredit this man, just because he has bad English?

Mr bjku, I always use my Visa card. If you are treated like this I send an email and another copy to them Via Postal Mail, informing them that I am canceling my order and that ANY CHARGES from their company would not be paid.

I got a comfirmation the next day of cancelation, email. This is how I handeled CDW and any other store I deal with, you should too!

If you don't believe me I'll forward you the email and the return email from CDW. Then go somewhere you WILL be treated fairly. If you have to pay a little more thats why, because they really have the item to sell at THAT price.

NONE of this, below, is reason to LIE to us.
Back in the days before the internet, people would order photo
supplices after looking at ads in a magazine. You would order an
item by calling a person, checking its inventory status, and
placing an order. If there were problems like providing ID, the
sales person would tell you, and you would fax a copy of your
drivers license to them. You would continue to correspond by
telephone or (gasp!) us mail if there were problems.

B&H's online sales effort is really just a web front for their
mailorder department. They don't have the process and workflow of
a true internet sales store like amazon or buy.com.
I've ordered thing on the internet that have cost more than
$4000.00 and never had a problem. I try to spend $800.00 at B&H
and they want a blood & urine sample and a DNA profile before they
will complete my order. Plus they don't even BOTHER to send me an
email. I got a letter from the in the US MAIL!!! "Please provide
identification..." The only reason I didn't tell them to... well
cancel my order was because I wanted to save $20.00. Well, $20.00
wasn't worth the trouble and time. Overall it took almost 3 weeks
for me to get my order, Amazon would have had it at my house in 5-7
days for only $20.00 more.

Oh, yea, it was "in stock" when I placed my order, but went "Out of
Stock" after I placed my order (like a day or two later) and had
to be "Back ordered".

You can also try http://www.adorama.com/ they aren't perfect, but
they are better than B&H.
Anyway I received the rest of it today morning.

Now I am familiar with the website of BHPhoto.com.
I think the online is good, but their offline is terrible.
sounds to me like you should have cancelled and gone elsewhere at
about email 3 :))

Hope it works out.

BH have a reputation of being painful but delivering the ordered merchandise in the end (ie no outright fraud). Notice that the longer they draw the process out, the longer they get interest on your money, and a financing cushion. So they have little incentive to fix a behavior that cannot get them in legal trouble and is profitable ...

Unfortunately, they are putting themselves out of the web-order buisness by accumulating a bad rep.

When he wanted to sell he was popping up often. Where is he now?

I have not had one iota of problems with B&H and have had high dollar and low dollar orders. --- Once when a return was needed (wrong item) they sent FedEx to my home to pick up the item.... the FedEx guy packed it.

My experience is they are first class all the way.

Sorry you had problems but, you always have the option to cancel an order if you don't like the way it is going.

I work a block away from BH and frequently visit their store. The system there is designed to get you efficiently from the door to the counter to the payment booth to the pickup booth.

If you know what you want when enter the store, it's a great, efficient system. But like going to Grand Central Station, this New York efficiency can make you feel hassled by an impersonal system. That's the trade-off.

The bottom line: Go to BH if you already know what you want-- you will get in and out quickly at the best price anywhere. If you want personal service and a chance to leisurely peruse different items, go to your local camera shop.

flame me for all i care , but the fact is that 95% of time noone has a problem , ocasionaly a problem can surface and thats normal for any business , noone can be 100% its impossible,

someone asked or mentioned where is henry , who knows he might be on vacation , but in the past when he got involved he usually sorted out and solved the problem

personaly i never had a problem with my orders but i buy in store personaly and not online

i understand there could be problems with online orders nothing involving a
computer is perfect

another thing about ordering through the web (or telephone) is credit cards

due to a large amount of credit card fraud they are extra carefull to make sure the card you give is you that why the (extra carefull verification procedure)which might look like they are pulling ur teeth or you being made to feel like a crook instead of a consumer , but the fact is they cut down a lot on fraud compared to most other places

Been there done that. Once there were outfits like B&H in the building supplies industry. They worked for a few year untill Home Depot drove them away by beating their prices, being nice to customers and providing more and greater selection. Then Home Depot got sloppy. Now Lowes is forcing them back to the 'gotta do the whole thing' model. Quick and dirty for cheap is not enough to survive. Somebody else is going to come along and do it quick and clean and pleasant for just a couple dollars more.
