Officially declared...

I agree with your distinction, but I don't know Rikke, I just noticed that he/she had participated in the first two threads that I found.

So, I wasn't really calling that person out, I was just saying here are two examples of threads that I dislike and you just happened to participate in them.

Rikke,

As I mentioned before my thread isn't there to fight out or nag about personal differences, so keep to the subject and as you seems to have a privilege of talking about gear I guess your answer will be "B", but I could be wrong of course. Anyway stay to the subject.

Or open your own thread to fight out all your personal differences with those people you got differences with.

Thank You,

Regards Lou

I eagerly await your apology as well. You have been extremely insulting.
Were I you, I wouldn't be holding my breath.
Oh, I won't. I expected you to persist in your rude and insulting ways. I have one question, though. What have I done to you that warrants such deplorable, border-line libelous behavior in return?

...I didn't participate in the first thread you linked, and had only two posts in the second thread you linked, neither of which said anything disparaging, whatsoever, about Olympus or 4/3.

...your comments are more than a bit hypocritical given that the following posts were directed at Rikke by Larry Lynch:

My problem with you is that you are more like a staph infection than a photographer.

I will, however, continue to point out that you are an inflamed infection. Similar in many ways to a pimple on the posterior of progress.

among others of the same ilk in that thread, and yet you jumped in not to decry such abominable behavior, but to support it:

Sorry, this is a miscommunication. When I said "you" I was reffering to my initial reply to Rikke. I didn't even know that you, Great Bustard, had participated in the thread until I read your last post.

Are you sure you even read the thread?

with a wink seems for you the highly needed beat to react on this way, come on Wim Strik are you that hungry? Hahahaha Please Wim show us some nice images, there is gear for isn't it?

Regards Lou

Lou

I don't know what you get out of starting these abrasive threads, when you first came on this forum with you picture of a "Katholic" church I felt sorry for you as you were being attacked for what seemed a spelling mistake and told you so. Now with a series of long and pointless threads behind you I no longer think it was a mistake. I believe you love to stir things up and thrive on controversy. Now and then ia little controversial thread makes things interesting, but it seems this is all you do.

Don't worry about my images, when I post I request c&c in order to improve. I do NOT attack anyone for what I think is unconstructive C&C but simply disregard it.

Joe,

Don't talk about hypocrisy, just lose words trying to win a discusion, but listen:

It took a while but now you show exactly the same behaviour as the others, who are constantly using refering patterns, with all those URL's. Also it shows that you guy's could end all commotion as well, thats happens lately on this forum against some people and don't ask me who they are, this enough. And don't show me more links, it don't make you smarter. Instead of that be willing to give this forum there joy back and it doesn't matter on which level they are photographing. Looking for disagreements or creating them to stay in the discussions as you like that they has to go is a ugly behaviour and that is what we have seen lately. So cut the crap and get back to business and be nice and respectfull again and don't search for new URLs, "differences needs solutions and not new differences" that wont help. Also respect if someone don't want you in his or her threads. For me this discussion is over, also if you agree or disagree with this message. For me it stops here, point.

Tell me strait instead of reflecting through messages of others, with what gear did you shot that young fisherman on that rock in you "Location thread", do you have some exif?

Lou

No, of course I didn't. That was my point. I've got no use for threads like that. A brief skimming told me that there was very little to be gained by my reading it.

I took the original post to mean, in a perfect world, which types of posts would I like to see on the forum. My response, in this make believe panacea, was that I'd like posts only relating to images, techniques for creating better images and equipment for Olympus cameras that can help one create better images (as opposed to brand wars). I don't think debating whether Canon's AF system is superior helps a person with Olympus gear to create better images.

In that perfect world, FOR ME, that entire thread would not have existed, so I certainly wasn't singling out your posts in it. You just asked for an example of threads that I would prefer not exist and that was one of the first I found. It was just a coincidence that you had posts in it.

I don't really know you as a poster, as others seem to, but I'm just wondering why you're so confrontational?

Joe,

Don't talk about hypocrisy...
I'll talk about what I like, thank you very much. And the fact that you supported Larry Lynch's comments that I linked to above:
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1022&message=36078455

My problem with you is that you are more like a staph infection than a photographer.

I will, however, continue to point out that you are an inflamed infection. Similar in many ways to a pimple on the posterior of progress.
and even pursued the matter further with some "uncivil" words of your own in the above thread, well, your comment:
just lose words trying to win a discusion
just adds to your hypocrisy.
...but listen:
No -- you listen. Put me on your ignore list. I'm not keen on having conversations about photography with people who actively support such behavior, and even partake in it themselves. People chide me for my tech-talk. Unbelievable that tech-talk is considered a "sin" at all, much less a greater "sin" than comments like those above.
