Challenge #17 is "Motion" -- not stop action but real, live, moving
motion -- make your blurs mean something.
The Motion Challenge is open now and runs for two weeks. There is a
good chance I've not put the galleries up properly since this is my
first time. Experts will check them and we'll fix them up and post
an exact deadline in the next day or so.
You can upload images at
http://www.pbase.com/ctfchallenge/challenge_17_motion
The Eligible Gallery is for images taken with a Canon digital
camera during the Challenge period.
The Exhibition Gallery is for images taken with any camera at any
time (ransack your existing galleries).
You may post up to 3 photos in each gallery.
There are two ways to upload your entries...
1. If you already have the username and password (it's the same as
last time), simply upload your photo.
2. If you're new to the challenge, either email
[email protected]
for the password, or send your photo to the same address and I'll
upload it for you.
-- Please allow 24 hours for uploading in order to meet the
deadline --
Preparing images...
Size -- Photos should be no more than 800 pixels on the longest
side and no larger than 150K.
Each picture should have this following information...
Your Name
Picture Title
Camera Used
Date of Picture (for Eligible Gallery only)
Optional information that's always appreciated is...
Description and Comments
Technical Tips
Post-Processing Details
Note: Pictures too large or missing any of the required information
are not eligible.
Please do not send or upload off-topic entries. The moderator and
uploaders have the final decision on eligibility.
Post-Processing -- Do whatever you like to your photo and the
voters will decide if it's too much.
No matter what camera you own, motion is often a factor in our
photos -- this is a chance to take advantage of it.
So set your camera to ISO50, turn down the lights, leave that
tripod in the closet, and make motion an artistic element in your
next photograph.
Good luck -- I look forward to the entries and to any tips our
photographers would like to share.
Cheers,
Don
